There are obvious advantages to this form of pipe rehabilitation method. If you run a business or own a property, it wouldn’t hurt to know how trenchless pipe lining in Honolulu, HI can be beneficial to you.

Here’s a quick overview and some information about trenchless pipe lining and how pipe lining companies like Nu Flow South Pacific perform the process.

History

The credit for the concept of trenchless technology goes to Eric Wood, an agricultural engineer in the United Kingdom. In the 1970s, the first CIPP pipe lining venture was done on an air duct above a mushroom bed. 50 years later, trenchless pipe restoration is utilized worldwide.

The Pipe Lining Process

Trenchless pipe lining and similar services, such as cast iron pipe lining, takes the no-dig approach to pipe rehabilitation. We start by accessing a cleanout connected to the affected pipe, where a resin-impregnated felt liner is inserted. Air pressure is applied so that the liner adheres to the damaged pipe. The resin is left to cure or harden.

This pipe is formed from a high-strength resin cured to create a seamless, jointless pipe that is stronger than the existing pipe. In addition, pipe lining is essential for relining pipes that are already in poor condition, extending their lifespan.

Similarly, epoxy pipe lining is a method where an epoxy resin is used to coat the inside of the pipe. This resin will harden and create a new pipe. These methods are much less invasive than traditional methods and can often be done without digging up the entire piping system.

Minimally Invasive

Digging and excavation are two of the most disruptive, expensive, and time-consuming aspects of pipe repair and replacement. However, trenchless pipe lining offers a superior alternative that eliminates the need for digging and excavation.
